Coverage
What the map shows you, country by country.
Glydar displays the zones published by civil aviation authorities. Not every country publishes them, and not every one lets us reuse them. This page says, for each country, what you see, where it comes from and what is missing. It updates itself from the state of the layers in the app.

How to read this page
Level
What it means for you
Open licence
The authority publishes its zones under a licence that allows reuse. We have read it, and we cite the source.
Official authorisation
The authority replied to us in writing and authorises us to display its zones.
Reuse of public-sector information
The zones are published with no known reuse condition. We display them under the European directive 2019/1024 on the reuse of public-sector information. We have notified the authority and are awaiting its reply: the absence of a reply is not an agreement, and we say so country by country.
Not yet covered
The map displays nothing for this country, and that does not mean “nothing is prohibited”. For each one, we say why and where to find the official source.
Impossible
The authority prohibits the reproduction of its zones, or publishes no usable data: the map cannot display anything. Here too, the absence of a zone does not mean “nothing is prohibited”; the official source is given for each country.

“Active” is read from Glydar’s database: a country whose zones are not loaded is not shown as active.
Official authorisation
No country for now. When an authority replies to us in writing, its country will appear here, with the date of its reply.
Reuse of public-sector information
No country for now. A country only appears here after we have notified its authority, and the date of our letter then appears on its row.

In a country that is not covered, the map claims nothing. The absence of a zone on Glydar does not mean “flight allowed”. Check the country’s official source before taking off.

Methodology
1. We write
To each authority, to learn its reuse conditions and how it wants to be credited.
2. We wait for its reply
Depending on the country, zones are displayed under the directive, or stay off the map.
3. It replies
Yes: the country moves to “Official authorisation”. No: we remove the zones and explain why here.
4. Continuously
This page is recalculated from the state of the layers. A country that changes level changes here without intervention.
Do you know a source for a missing country?
An official portal, a contact at an authority: write to us.
Glydar does not replace the official regulations. Data may lag behind its source: always check with your country’s authority before flying. See also the FAQ and the regulations guide.
