Born from a simple question: “where are we flying this weekend?”
Every pilot knows the ritual: one tab for the official map, one for the weather, one chat group to find out whether the spot is still flyable, and in the end — you go back to the same place as last time. Glydar was born to close those tabs.
The project started in the French FPV scene — freestyle, cinematic, long range — but the map serves every drone pilot. Because regulations, wind at 120 metres and a good spot sheltered from the mistral are something everyone needs.
Conviction 01
Honesty is the asset
Nothing faked, nothing inflated. A dated piece of data beats a flattering one — a pilot decides with what they can see.
Conviction 02
Regulations are not optional
The regulatory status is always visible, never hideable. Flying informed protects pilots — and the hobby.
Conviction 03
The community is the map
A spot only exists because a pilot shared it. No ads, no data resale: the project belongs to those who fly.
The project, today
▸Developed in Europe, hosted in Europe, public regulatory data.
