The short version: no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers. What the site stores is used to sign you in and to remember your preferences.
Item
Purpose
Session (cookie)
Keeping you signed in to the app. Essential, no consent required. The site may have the app read it to show your username in the header — nothing is stored on the site’s side.
Display preferences (cookie)
Remembering your light / dark theme, your language and your units. Set only when you change them, never on a simple visit. Duration: one year. Once you are signed in, your settings live in your account and this cookie is erased.
Invitation link (cookie)
Keeping the code of an invitation link you have just opened, while you sign up — including with Google or Discord. Duration: one hour, erased as soon as you have registered.
Downloaded spots and maps (browser cache)
When you download a spot or an area to view it without a network, it is kept on your device, and nowhere else. You can remove them whenever you like from the app.
Audience measurement — Umami
Anonymised visit statistics, with no cookie or identifier. Instance self-hosted by the publisher on an OVH server in France — no data passed to a third party. Exempt from consent.
No banner with 47 buttons: as long as the site uses only essential items, there is nothing to ask you to accept. If that changes, this page will change first. Question: contact@glydar.eu.
